A friend gave me these samples and I have a feeling I am going to love them. Have you seen them before? Do you love them too? What are they called? Who sells them? It has a rippled texture. Which side goes down on the bead?

Is this enough questions for you first thing in the morning?

It might be the lenticular dichroic from Arrow Springs. I've got some but I haven't tried it yet. When I get home tonight I'll check and see if it looks the same as your photo.

Is that the pink or the green/blue one, I can't tell?

And yes, that's the dichro from AS.

Work it VERY cool... even cooler than you do most dichro, because the clear layer is very thin. The rippled side goes down, don't ever get it in the flame. Work even cooler than you think you need to.

Here's the pink, shot both inside and outside:

I thought I had a picture of the green/blue, but I can't remember what I named the dang bead.

Definitely Arrow Springs. I love this dichro-I haven't burned it out like the other flat strips I've used.

I found the blue/green.

Just pretend like this bead is a lot better than it is. I'm pretty sure this was my first attempt with this dichro, so excuse the mess.

I worked it too hot and the sides scummed up, so I thought I would cover it up with some black. I also got the strip too hot when I applied it on the base bead, so the lines aren't very defined.

(eta: Just noticed this was in the paid tutorials section?)

That's just dichro on reed or accordion glass from the looks of it.

Love the lenticular dichroic. I have a ton of it. The sides scum up easily if you aren't careful but other than that it really is a cool look.

Okay, I have a question on dichro. I don't have any problem putting dichro on a bead & keeping the color, BUT the place where you end/burn it off is always a problem. How do you get the 2 ends to meet up nicely & keep the color without being noticeable??? I have yet to find out a way to make it look nice :(

It looks like this and I got this from AS, like Traci said.
