I bought 2 Devilbiss 5lpm concentrators a few years
ago. They were used on a regular basis until about 6 months ago. They
have spent the school year in a closet.

Today, I pulled them out. One worked fine. The other, not so much.

I let it run for about an hour, then I heard it beep. The Low Oxygen
light was on. As I approached the unit, I noticed that it was very
hot.

I checked both filters. They are both clean and flow freely.

I opened the unit and noticed the compressor was the part producing
the heat. I disconnected the hoses and felt air being sucked in and
blown out of the compressor. I did not let it run for long as I did
not want to burn it out.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Looks to be a problem with the fan in the bottom. I cleaned some corrosion off the contacts and now it works. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement fan?

Are there any surplus stores in your area? We have a place here called Skycraft and they sell everything. You could probably find a fan at a similar place in your area. I don't have a Devilbiss but I have a few other brands and the fans are just big computer type fans.

If it's cleaned up and working, I would not bother to replace the fan. That is probably the entire problem.
