Does anyone have directions for programming a Bartlett Controller? The 3K model? Mine hans't got the right program on it and came with no manual. Or does anyone have a number to call for Bartlett?

I need the same information. I bought mine second hand and have never been able to figure out how to do it properly. I just shut it off at the end of the day right now. Sorry

Hey thanks! Now I just have to figure out what that means....I wish they just had step by step instructions for a soft glass program

Exactly....people even have said what to do but never being a fuser it's all greek to me. I'd like to beable to clear it and start over step by step.

Someone shared this with me. Insert other temps and such to suit you're preference.

P1 programming style

dELA 00 (no delay at startup)
SEG 3 (3 segments to the program)
rA1 - 9999 (full ramp to heat as fast as possible)
F1 - 1050 (heats kiln to 1050 F, this is my soaking temperature, which works well for Moretti and boro)
HLd1 - 8 (holds at 1050 for 8 hours)
rA2 - 1200 (ramps down at 1200/hour to the annealing temp)
F2 - 970 (this is annealing temp)
HLd2 - 30 (holds at annealing temp for 30 min)
rA3 - 200 (ramps down slowly, 200/hour, for a gradual cooling)
F3 - 750 (this is the strain point temp)
HLd3 - 15 (this is the final holding at the strain temp)

Or this:
I just finished programing my new Bartlett controller on my new Chili Pepper kiln. Here is what I used.....

usgr 1 - for beading one day.

4 segments

segment 1

ramp rate 180
temp 960
hold 5:00

segment 2

ramp rate 120
temp 800
hold 00:30

segment 3

ramp rate 120
temp 700
hold 00:30

segment 4

ramp rate180
tmp 74
hold 00:00

Hopefully one of these is in terms that help. They are from different sources and I can't swear by either as right.

I just got this controller and I wanted to say that I love it! With the instructions in hand it's really easy to program and run right from the beginning. It's great to see other people's programs. Here's mine, a really simple version which I pretty much just extrapolated from other people's suggestions... I don't have many practical observations from it yet, except that it's worked the times I've used it so far. :)

1 - ramp at MAX to 960, hold for 8 hours (or until I skip to the next step)
2 - ramp at MAX to 968, hold for 1 hour
3 - ramp at 150 deg/hour to 750, hold 10 min
4 - ramp at 500 deg/hour to 400. Done.

It looks like I may be garaging a little low... Do most people garage above, or at annealing temperature? Thanks - H.

I honestly don't remember which schedule I went with. I rarely have thick or large beads and what ever I have works. It helped me to see the schedule like the first I posted, or what you posted so I could tell what the abreviations meant. (Well, actually it was talking with Bartlett on the phone one Friday at closing.) It's not nearly as hard as it seemed.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

My kiln is re programmed and ramping down as we speak!! Thanks so much for the help!
