Hummingbird feeders

I see a lot of amazing blown glass hummingbird feeders. I got one as a Christmas present. While they made a beautiful flower with a rubber plug and feeding tube coming out where the stamen goes, very artistic. Trouble was the thing peed all the food onto the ground.

I was surfing FB and saw this click bait ad and thought, ‘That looks like coud be made with boro tubes! What do y’all think, get some 50mm~ and some 12mm~ and you are off to the races. Maybe add some embellishment... what do you think?

Do it!

I think that would be totally doable. Have you ever hot pierced tubing or drilled holes in tubing? I'd think that would be the tricky part.

I am looking at it and thinking in terms of a down stem to a bong. I have never had the desire to make a bong but it seems like the same skills…

I would think so. I'll be following to see how you succeed. You might have a market!

Yeah, feeders peeing sugar water to attract ant colonies is a definite turn off.

Show us what you come up with - lots of interest. Especially if you manage one that's easily cleaned :)
