New to tubing

HELLO, I'm used to working solid colors and am about to get into working with tubing and I was wondering what size tubing pipes are traditionally made out of.

I've got measurements for a vac stack that I want to do but he (Dustin Revere from Revere glass) said to practice with something smaller. His dimensions were: 16mm tube for a blowtube, 50x5 mm outer and 26x4 mm inner.

So how small should I go to start out?
I'm on a Nortel red max with top fire.

The smallest tubing I would use is 19.2 mm outside diameter thick walled (about 4 mm thick)

The tubing size will depend on what you want to make, but I would suggest to start with tubing diameter that is half the diameter of your torch flame. The maximin diameter is normally the flame diameter.
