I hope this is the right spot, on 1 of my 5lpm invacare cons it will only come one by itself about 10% of the time, i took case off amd when i turn on amd spin the compressor motor it starts and runs great, what is the part called that cause the compressor to cone on when the switch is turned on.

Likely the start/run capacitor. Be aware that the capacitor can store its charge even long after the unit has been unplugged and that discharging that stored charge into yourself can be literally a fatal error (I’ve personally seen one actual fatality and one damn near, both involving fairly large capacitors, IDK how large this one is). Unless you really know what you’re doing, stay clear of the capacitor...

Excellent point, Shock_me. I used to work in maintenance and would short the terminals of a supposedly de-energized electrolytic capacitor using a screwdriver I didn't care about (and always wearing safety glasses to prevent molten metal hitting my eyes). The correct method uses a resistor instead of a potentially violent direct short.
