Homefill system

I have an EX-15 concentrator and may have the opportunity to inherit an invacare homefill. Will these two units play well together? Or will I need an invacare concentrator to go with the homefill?

If the purity is high enough it should work, set the oxycon at 2lpm

The only question I have is making the connection between the machines.

You might have to "modify" one end of the connecting hose or figure out a splice.

Kind of unusual to find a Homefil not paired off its Invacare but all it wants is O2 at an acceptable purity level.

Getting the "whip" to have the Homefil refill something other than a medical tank can be a bit troublesome but there are plenty of threads about doing it here abouts.

I have some links hidden away in my mess of a favorites list but it will take me a day or three to hunt through them to something relevant. Let me know if you need me to.

Search for Shawnette's instructions on connecting a non-Invacare concentrator to the homefill.

The Invacare has a connection in the back that supplies a higher pressure (14 psi, I think) than the front connection. By the machine specifications, the homefill is supposed to have the higher inlet pressure.

However, Shawnette has instructions for a non-Invacare hookup. I believe it involves starting up the concentrator first until it is producing good quality oxygen, then start the homefill, and then connect the tubing supplying the homefill to the concentrator hose barb.

Edit: It is a YouTube video, and I'm not sure if is a corresponding written post or article - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2ESr25J0_I
