Double Helix and reactive glass question

Hi everyone,

I bought a bunch of glass from someone who quit lampworking, unfortunately any of it that is labeled has lost the ink to ravages of time. I've sorted through the opaques and most of the transparents, but some of it is Double Helix and/or some other reactive glasses.

Is there a chart somewhere handy I can compare these to?

I'm looking at both the transmissive color (shining my iPhone flashlight through them), as well as how they melt in a neutral and a reducing flame. I've been able to separate the majority of them into separate piles, a few of which I recognize from similarity to rods I own (DH Gaia and Elektra.) But most of them I have NO idea what they are :-k

ALSO, I have a couple huge rods Double Helix glass that were gifted to me quite a number of years ago. They're each about 20 inches long and close to half inch diameter, weighing almost a quarter pound each. One is Terranova 2, the other is Triton. I was told when I was gifted them (by Lewis Wilson) that they were maybe first runs or at least early runs. Anyways, I use such small amount of DH glass as accents that I'm sure I'll never use these huge rods, so I wanted to try and guage value and sell for the appropriate amounts. Photos attached...

Thanks in advance for any info!

You might try asking on Haley's Tsang Sather's Facebook silver glass group -Lampwork 104 Silver Glass - because I know she is owner of many of the batches, old and new... (or message her?)

I know that generally speaking if they are transparent rods, they are reducing, opaque they are striking, but there are also some that do both (like Clio for instance) but some of mine that are the same color but different batches look different.

There was a challenge on the Terranova versions recently, and I may be mistaken but I don't think that is being made anymore, so if someone loves it they might want it (or at least 1/2 lb or lb of it).

The DH website has color archives under the Learn tab that might help. Then again, it might not honestly. I'd be kind of lost without labels on most of it.

Yeah, their color archives is super unhelpful - just one photo of a bead made with the color. What I really need to see is how the rods look BEFORE they're melted

Thanks, I just submitted a join request for the group. Maybe I'll just hit her up though
