WIGWAG Millie?
Ok trying to learn to make wigwag millie from RBALLS.
1)take linetube and reverse it. 2)Make to a ball 3)reverse axis onto another tube. 4)condense rball 5)back with desired color 6)pull and snip untill I get desired image This anywhere close? http://worthopedia.s3.amazonaws.com/...6337f4d414.jpg stolen picture for refrence |
Are you using boro or soft glass?
|
Lol boro I don't think you could pull linetube with 104 or 96 without it cracking
|
That's what I thought so I'll move this to the boro section.

Based on this post:

Well then he'll see my link to his OTHER question too. Win-Win.
|
So no one has done these?
|
i think you're doing it right......but use stickstack tubing for the wig wag not vac stack, you don't want clear on the outside for WW millies.

I have done these with some success you have the basic idea. Some things to keep in mind.
1 Use solid lined color tubing or clear on outside only. Clear on the inside of your tube will end up with a clear void in the middle of your reversal. 2 wig wag your tube and blow bubble and yes now blow hole 90 degrees off original hole placement effects the final look of milli. attach a new tube to hole. Now the tricky part this tube needs to be big enough to blow out and shrink your reversal into it just like doing a tube implosion. 3 Shrink this down marver condense attach a handle to the bottom of your implosion using clear. Tear off the extra bubble, now cover outside with color or clear and attach handle to the top of your implosion. Build up a good heat base shrink down marver condense some more the more you can shrink down the better. 4 last step build up a good heat base and pull to desired diameter. This tech is difficult to master but well worth the effort to learn. It is not limited to wig wags or reversals checkout this link. http://www.talkglass.com/forum/showt...e-milli-tricks Good luck T. here you go not mine but they do a good job on showing the whole way thru. and i learn better when i see it.

Is it possible for anyone to post pictures of the step by steps. I've discovered (as I get older!!!) that I'm more of a visual learner. I got lost in the instructions... it's sad to get old!

Nice video pictures are worth a thousand words. The vid stops just short of attaching second handle and pulling to desired diameter.

I know here in the boro room there is a tut! I jus can't find it. I'm keep looking!
Ughhh ok i found it this should help! http://lampworketc.com/forums/showth...ighlight=Milli |
1) Make a wigwag reverse the axis.
2)have a 50mm to 19mm handle ready 3)attach the wag and disc it into the top of the 50 4)condense like you know what 5)have a punty with the size of the wigwag disc ready. 6)focus the heat onto the 50mm with the condensed disc 7)once theres a nice heatbase. attach punty cold and give it a gentle pull into a cane |
