Announcement!!

Hi everyone, I didn't know exactly where to post this announcement but I want to let everyone know, and to thank everyone for standing strong for me.
On July 30 I crashed my motorcycle, I have a Kawasaki ZZR 1200 sport bike, and tried to straighten a hairpin curve, I broke 18 ribs, both scapula (shoulder blades) both shoulders, collapsed and punctured both lungs, cracked 4 vertebrae, broke left clavicle (collar bone) also received a mild concussion even though I was wearing a full face helmet, I was flown by Lifeline helicopter to ST. Vincent Hospital's trauma center in Indianapolis where I stayed on life support for 8 days, they had to open me up and plate my ribs to hold them together, I was in intensive care for 12 days then moved to a regular room for 12 days before coming home.
It has been very hard for me and my business, I have had to give a lot of refunds, but have had a lot of customers willing to wait for the best highly modified oxygen machines on the market, against the advise of my doctors I have returned to work in my shop where I will continue to produce the same quality that Available Oxygen is well known for,
thank you for your continued support,
David.

Hi David! I am so sorry to hear about your accident and the extent of your injuries is appalling!!

I have always enjoyed working with you, and I'm glad that you are continuing. I hope that you don't re-injure yourself with returning to work so soon.

I will place an order with you in a while, happy to work with you again. Thanks for letting us know. Take care!

Gentle hugs and continued healing.

GlassGalore 2016-09-08 8:18am

Wow! SO glad that you survived all that trauma! Please don't set yourself back by taking on too much too soon.

lotusbunny2009 2016-09-08 8:57am

Wow, I'm glad you're healing. Please don't over do.

I bought my most recent machine from you, and I've recommended you to others. Take care.

Glasswytch 2016-09-09 2:27pm

David,, what horrendous injuries. Glad you are home. Heal up.

Speedslug 2016-09-09 9:24pm

So glad to hear you manage to continue with the breathing thing after an event like that !

Wow.

Do utilize every source of assistance you can get while you are recovering. Breaking your body trying to get caught up is not going to be good for business next year if your back in the hospital.

Hire in some high school helpers if you need to but take it easy for just a bit.

queenofsheba52 2016-09-10 10:16pm

That was a terrible accident for sure! Healing thoughts sent your way.

Elegance_1 2016-09-12 10:47am

Yep, those curves just don't like to be straightened do they! So glad you are on the mend. Just please be careful and don't over do it. Healing physically AND mentally should be your number 1 priority! Are you a diehard biker? Will you be getting on another one? If so, be sure not to try and take revenge on those curves!!

lampworker1 2016-09-12 11:54am

Healing and Peace!

Mesnik 2016-09-13 6:26pm

Dave, what the heck?!!!

But most important... How is the bike?????

JUST KIDDING!!

Sorry for your trauma. Looks like you just used up one of your lifelines!

Very glad to see you are somehow back at it. One day at a time, bro.

Keep healing and thanks for the great service, as always.

I am loving the comments and well wishes, I look forward to reading and re-reading them all the time, it reinforces my love for the glass artists family and my desire to continue to do the best, the first thing I asked "IS MY BIKE OK" Lord willing I will ride again, I have already started repairs, money is kinda tight, the helicopter ride alone was $46,300. medical bills still coming in are close to half a million,
thanks again, your well wishes are therapeutic to my recovery.

emtjab 2016-09-18 6:59am

Dave, I am soooo glad you are going to be okay! Sending you prayers for strength and recovery!

ccaronn 2016-09-19 5:47am

Holy crap, please take it slow and recover completely. Do you have family and/or friends in the area to help out? Prayers and well wishes coming your way.
P.S. My Oxycon works great!!
