I'd love to get the tutorial, Cynthia -- I'm dying to know how to do these beads and want to see how it's done before I invest the $$$ for the tool.

Does this press leave a hole for stringing in the top of the flower? I was looking at it wondering that its a beautiful tool. Some day when I win the big one I will have that one :) lol

glassactcc 2009-11-06 9:14am

No. What it does, is it produces the flower on a wire at the base. The wire can then be looped to hang. So, the flowers hang from the bottom, so you can see the tops of them. Here are a couple of pictures so you can see how the flowers lay.

I'm Pming for the tutorial, I have to have these two presses. I absolutely love your leaves, the shape is beautiful, is this another Dona press?

madelyn1 2009-11-08 5:52pm

Thank you, Cynthia, for the quick response and for the tutorial! I can't wait until I have the flower press. Your flowers are beautiful, as are your leaves!!!

Thanks again,
Shirley

mphens 2009-11-08 6:32pm

I would like the tutorial also if your not tired of sending them.

glassactcc 2009-11-08 8:33pm

Hi Starr. The leaves are not a Dona tool. I just have a run of the mill leaf masher for those. Patti, if you haven't already (hard to keep track) just PM me your email and I'll send you one.

glassactcc 2009-11-08 8:34pm

Thank you so much Shirley:)

Thank you Cynthia,
I received you tutorial this morning. You have me all excited again, now I can add another dimension to something I let slide.
I have used the same vice on flowers and leaves before and found a couple of pictures for general interest. You can see I have wire wrapped the s/steel.
