I got a sample of some reichenbach frit to compare to z99 and here is a preliminary result-top is z99 over opal yellow, lower is the reichenbach over opal yellow...

So are you going to tell us which Reichenbach frit? It looks nice!

Howling Dog 2011-06-02 8:13am

Looks good...slight difference, but over all very similar.

got the number, it's r733

Silver Moon Lampwork 2011-06-02 10:11am

Thanks. I'll have to see if I have any of that.

Elizabeth Beads 2011-06-02 11:34am

Is it available in the USA? It is Reichenbach's new Purple Rose.

It is available in Europe in Lampwork Cane as RL-2202.

That's the 104 version. The 96COE is R733:

Does the R733 devitrify like Z99?

LarryC 2011-06-02 2:06pm

Used quite a bit of the 733 in the hot shop. Very nice color.

Elizabeth Beads 2011-06-02 2:09pm

I found the R-733 and ordered some cane, frit and powder. But I'd love to find the RL-2202 cane (104 Coe) version for sale in the USA.

Mitosis Glass 2011-06-02 2:16pm

Gorgeous!

Where did you find it? I tried to order some #1 frit from OCR today and they said they were out. :(

Polgarra 2011-06-02 3:04pm

I swear, I didn't buy out their entire stock!

Kalera 2011-06-02 5:39pm

Laurie

Mitosis Glass 2011-06-03 9:42pm

That's what I'd like to know!

Kevan 2011-06-03 9:59pm

OCR doesn't seem to have it. Really, is it that hard, after all these years, to put up a picture of the color of the rods? I don't get that.

truegem 2011-06-04 12:52am

I still like the Z99 ones more. =(

Rareripes 2011-06-04 3:15am

With all the talk about Z-99..I did some researching on Zimmermann,Kugler and Reichenbach. You know how Effetre and Vetrofond and maybe others use the same numbers for the same colors in their lines..ie: light ivory is 264 both in Effretre and vetrofond.Well..the German glasses are somewhat the same..Kuglar has many of the same color numbers as Zimmermann ,Reichenback a bit less but the ones from Kugler that I have tersted compared to Zimmermann are pretty close.I don't have pics but as soon as my hubby and son are finished working in my studio for the day..will make up a couple examples and post.

designerbeads 2011-06-04 8:23am

the z99 seems to have a broader range, kicking a little more into the red/yellow than the reichenbach 733

Reichenbach doesn't sell COE 104 frit. The COE 104 is only available as rods or so called "Fritte" in German, but it is not frit in one size but as if you mixed chunks, frit and powders of different sizes.

Lara 2011-06-04 8:55am

I'm not sure about that Vernea I have Reichenbach Multicolor Dark in 104 frit obtained from Olypic Color rod.

JEK3 2011-06-04 9:32am

I picked up some chunks of Purple Rose at Frantz several months back. Here it is over white (just stuck three chunks on a small bead) (sorry about the crappy cell phone pics) :
