Torch Comparisons on 10 LPM Oxygen Concentrator(s)
I have posted this data elsewhere before, but with photos here on LE. This should load faster.
I get asked very often how a particular torch will run on a 10 LPM concentrator (Regalia). The answer for many torches is "Great!" but I want to be able to provide a more detailed answer for anyone who would like it. I have spent the last couple of years or so aquiring torches to test for this purpose. With my husband's help, I ran various torches on the Regalia and measured and photographed the flames. The flames were measured and photographed before the candles started feathering at the tips. Flames can vary from torch to torch and different conditions can create different results. These numbers are just what I measured and are intended to give an idea of what you can expect when running a particular torch on this concentrator. On some of the torches, my husband and I timed how long it took to cut through an 8mm rod of clear boro. Again, your mileage may vary. This is just meant to give an idea of what you can do. * I have a Regalia and an Integra10. The Integra10 is the old version of the Regalia. They put out the same 10 LPM at 7-9 psi. So, just to keep things simple, on the torches that were run using both machines, I just labeled the pictures as torches being run on two Regalias. The torches listed are being run on a single Regalia unless otherwise noted. That's interesting, minor can cut boro faster than mega minor...:-k

really interesting! Thanks

Kimberly,
I am wondering about results for the GTT - Lynx and that new Scorpion? I'm having a hard time deciding about an upgrade from my Cricket (which I DO love, but thinking of going a step or two up now). Your results here are wonderful and VERY helpful. I know it took a lot of time to compile all of these torch results, and your hard work is appreciated. |
Where have you posted it with photos?

I will have to find my measurements for the Scorpion, but the measurements for the Lynx are up there under the Phantom listing - the Lynx is the same as the centerfire of the Phantom. |

Maybe next you can compare times to make a standard design 1" diameter implosion boro marble with an EX15. :hide:
