Another ventilation question

Is a 110 cfm bathroom fan suspended above torch and ducted directly out window behind it adequate? I'm using a minor burner.
this is in the garage.
Thank for helping

Not even close.

You need 8 times that cfm with even the very best designed Bailey box and a 6 foot vent duct above the roof of the garage and no wind outside at all.

This really is very important.
You will be decorating the inside of you lungs with the fumes from all those wonderful colors.

We have extensive conversations about how much is needed and how to figure out what you need for your situation.

Each persons needs is going to be different and it is a little difficult to trudge through the details but you only have to figure it out once.

Good luck and please keep asking questions.

We learned about the hazards of this stuff by reading the documented illnesses of folks that have been doing it wrong for decades.
They often paid the ultimate price so we could learn not to injure ourselves.

Here's a suggestion, if you want to go the route like the ventilation tutorial above.

Use a 6in to 8in duct adapter for a funnel.
A little bit of 6in bendable ducting between the funnel and solid duct so you can adjust the funnel position.
Some 6in solid ducting and the minimum number of 90/45 deg elbows you can get away with.
A decent 6in inline duct fan, like they use for grow tents.
like this Duct Fan at Amazon

I actually cut a circle in a 6 foot folding table I use to put the vent vertically and hold it into place.

I have it set up where I have to crack open the garage door, connect a section of duct to go out the door and put the fan on the end to suck out any potential residuals and I use a remote Christmas light switch to turn the fan on and off from my bench so it doesn't run all the time.

In the picture, you can see where I split the flow to have vents for me and my wifes' torch, sitting opposite of each other.

This works great for us and if your interested I can post more pics.

Jim, thanks for the photo! I'm just now setting up my 800cfm 8" fan and have been stumped trying to figure out a setup for the funnel. I've already got a board cutout to cover a window with the blower right in it.
