Lynx Cleaning Wires

Hi everyone! I KNOW I have a few of these wires SOMEWHERE but I can't find them for the life of me. Its driving me crazy!

What recommendations do you guys have that could be a temporary fix?
I'll order more if I need to but I want to clean the torch today

Duane, I picked up a little "kit" at Lowes for all of $3.00. It had a range of wire sizes in it. I've been able to use it to clean both my mini cc and cricket. I am sure that there is a size in there for the lynx. It was located in the section with the welding supplies.

At local hardware or welding supply...

do you or someone you know play the guitar? the G string (no joke, the 4th string from the top) is about the right size if i remember correctly.

I might mention that the welding clearner rod thing is made up of, NOT RODS/WIRES, but of small round files. If you feel the wires you can feel the cutting edges. They will damage the torch tubes if used very often. They are made to clean the expendable, repeat expendable, welding tips made of copper/bronze on a once or twice basis.

I just got a new set of wires from GTT and measuring them on my digital caliper they're .33mm so I think that's 28 gauge wire. I did buy a welding wire cleaner with the assorted sizes, but the smallest wire was just a tiny bit too large and the wires aren't smooth, they're ribbed...so it never got used.

I checked my guitar but didn't have enough excess of the "G" string to snip off. On the bright side, I did play around with my guitar for about an hour.

I think I do have some 28 gauge wire lying around my studio!

It would sure be cheaper to buy a roll of stainless steel wire than get them from GTT...I think I paid about $35 (with shipping) for a few wires and a little wire brush.
