ok so did we decide to do 2 per month? That other one was getting unwieldy. here are two more flowers that I was just so pleased with.
the first is cinnabar petals (with some carribean coral in the center of the petals) with a tequila sunrise center, elvis with extralight yellow cane for the bail and backed in silver sands the second is havana moon petals with blue caramel down the center of the petals and a cinnabar center backed in silver sands and a random rainbow cane for the bail. |
Working on updating my web site (finally) so I just took some random photos. Here's a few pendants from the past couple of days...

Paula-
wow!! Your pendants are stunning! I love the Carribean coral! Your flower implosions are soooo beautiful!! Chad- Amazing as always!!! My fave is the heart--love all the colors! |

Well, one color and clear... |
WOW!! That's so cool! Is the clear the frit detail?
|
Clear frit, and the whole inside is clear as well. That's what made the light orange/yellow color at the tip. The color on the outside is stretched really thin there.
Just one more reason I love Purple Luster... |
Awesome!
thanks so much Chad! |
Wow Paula, those florals ROCK!
Chad, yep, love everything but I'm a sucker for hearts. Jo |
Paula, those are beautiful.
Chad, very cool. |
thank you jerri, jo, and nagi.
Chad I love the heart too |
Great Job Paula and Chad :) I have soo got to learn how to do implosions soon.
|
Love those implosions, Paula - 'specially the Havana Moon one - lovely shape!!
Great pendant, Chad - saw some in another thread too - boy when you produce, you go for it!! Hope the Show is a huge success... |
Paula, I have watched your pendants get better and better in the past year...
And hurray for the turtle... so pretty, Cosmos... does it have a loop? |
Finally got some studio time so I have a few new things to share. One I've shared before, but I added a little something to it. It felt good to get that rectifier going again. :-)
It's not quite as bright, really it's not :-) I don't think my camera likes blues :-) GA's Silver Sands with Paula's Hardcore Cammo frit A dainty implosion done with Open Mind frit. Not quite sure how dainty came out of my torch...must have been the frit :D I got to see some of Paula's glass in person at a show a couple of weeks ago....her colors are so bright!! These are fantastic!! Chad, the heart is my favorite!! |

Nice start to the 2nd half of April! :fireblob:
|
Kim- the electroformed pieces rock!! Love the blue patina especially!
Carrie--wow--gorgeous sets!! Yummy!! |
Kim love them.
Carrie you so rock with colors, beautiful. |
Awesome pieces everybody!
Leanne the Roger Parramore (New Color Co) white works like butter. You will never use another white. I swear its awesome! |
Thanks for the kind words....they really make me feel good. I'm always so apprehensive about posting here, you all are soooo good at this! I'm not quite sure where I should be posting, here or in the newbie show and tell. I'm not a rank newbie, but I've only been playing with boro since September...and I'm a weekend torcher....till June!! :D
I'm pretty sure the white that I used was Roger's. It melts so nicely!!! I say I'm pretty sure because that one was the last one of the day and I actually don't remember what rod I picked up....you know how it is when you get going and all the rods end up in a pile on the bench :D |
Beautiful work! I do have one complaint though:
Too much chit-chat not enough pictures! C'mon people let's see what you got! (he said while not posting any pictures) |
Okay, here goes - first posting of picture in any gallery - well I did post it in the other gallery first - I got so excited that I finally figured it out.
Ha! Momka's new glass - so yummy. Also first piece with new Lynx and Regalia setup. Fun, fun, fun! Sally |
I love the floral pendants...the Havana Moon petals are lovely. Great color on your heart, Cosmo...purple luster is one of my favorites. The electroforming gives such a great contrast in textures with the smooth glass. Carrie - I love your pastels. Just had a request for some pastels and they are hard for me...very inconsistent. Any tips?
Here is a lentil with leaves that I saw in the new issue of the Flow...Japanese issue. Just two lengths of twistie laid beside each other and then raked a bit. I need to work on it more to figure out good colors but I love the technique. Sandy |
carrie I love those cubes
sally I have got to get some of that glass fantastic sandy I love your lentils I love that shape were they pressed or free formed and what size press did you use if the were pressed? great work everyone :) |
The lentils are made with a press...the Cattwalk button press...size 1-1/4". I really like this particular press...
Sandy |
Great 'plosions Paula - Cinnabar is a GREAT red for this type of work and I'm gonna have to try that havana moon....NICE!
Cosmo, great as usual, but I love that heart! The shape and transition of colors is HOT! :D Kim that e forming is a very unique touch and looks fantastic, and I'm with Leanne about the white - it looks so perfect!! Carrie girl those are ELECTRIC like always!! The 2nd one looks kinda like smoky clouds or something 8) Sally - love the use of the momka cane, don't be shy! :D Sandy I was checking out that article in the flow also - looks great!! toni |
Really beautiful work you guys!
Kim those pendants are truly unique and beautiful! A pendant and a marble from me. the marbles have been a bigger challenge for me then I expected, i guess just practice, practice, practice. Ashlea |

|
Oh man, you all posted some awesome stuff.
Sandree, how does the regalia/lynx compare to the lynx on tanked oxy? I am considering getting one of them in the furture. |
Sally I love your stone I'm so happy to see you posting. Oh i might have to get some of that glass, oh no...
|
here are some marble beads i have been trying to work on lately Trying to make then quick and easy for an upcoming job so far its been a trial who knew completely round could be such a hassel. Love the marble what color is that that its so translucent and ghost like? |

:jawdrop: WOW! :jawdrop:
I post this morning and I come back and there are a TON of awesome pieces here! :fireblob: BRB w/ my comments. |
You all do such gorgeous work! I should probably post in the other thread, I'm still pretty much a newbie. Some days it's hard getting to the boro. Oh well. These are Triple Passion tweezer twists. I was just totally jazzed that they're all about the same size! Not easy for me with boro.

Thank you all for the kudos, much appreciated!
Sally, whoa, nice job on that piece. Sandy, love the lentils, crisp and clean. Ashlea, wispy and surreal, I like it. Wendy, great colors in those, I am marble challenged. ;) Rebecca, nice to see you working Boro...you were a big part of the Smiley thread a year ago and you've been missed. |
Chit chat, chit chat...
|
Awwww thanks Carrie! That's nice of you to say. I'm still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up. I'm only in my 40's after all...
(chit chat, chit chat:-P ) |
Guess this makes me the older sister, huh? :D
Sooo, did you pick up all those teeny balls? Now, seriously, there's some unbelievable glass here today. Thanks to all who liked my pendants, thank you soo much. It's been a good day in the neighborhood today and your kind words were a big part of it! Quote:
|
*snort* They're so small I can't even find my teeny balls.:-D And Sis? I'll let you explain since you're older. LOL!

I admit it, there's a bit of a double standard here. I've been working on something... with very limited success. I have some pieces done but no pics yet. It's such a simple idea, and until the other day I had NO idea why I was failing so horribly. I finally had some insight into the problem, but then some other stuff came up... I promise I'll have some pics after this weekend :) Maybe even during this weekend...depending on whether I can find a computer... |
Wow, I'm so impressed will all of you guys!!! I still feel like a boro newbie when I compare my stuff to all the beauty above, but I'm getting there darn it.
(There's no way I'm putting any of my boro pictures up now!) |
Not all of these were made in April, but a good many of them were.
Figured I'd post what I've been up to for the past couple of months... http://www.soleiletlune.com/gallery/IMG_1829.jpg |
