ok so did we decide to do 2 per month? That other one was getting unwieldy. here are two more flowers that I was just so pleased with.
the first is cinnabar petals (with some carribean coral in the center of the petals) with a tequila sunrise center, elvis with extralight yellow cane for the bail and backed in silver sands
the second is havana moon petals with blue caramel down the center of the petals and a cinnabar center backed in silver sands and a random rainbow cane for the bail.

Working on updating my web site (finally) so I just took some random photos. Here's a few pendants from the past couple of days...

Thanks. Would you believe that's only one color?

Well, one color and clear...

nagibeads 2007-04-18 11:15am

WOW!! That's so cool! Is the clear the frit detail?

Cosmo 2007-04-18 11:19am

Clear frit, and the whole inside is clear as well. That's what made the light orange/yellow color at the tip. The color on the outside is stretched really thin there.

Just one more reason I love Purple Luster...

nagibeads 2007-04-18 11:27am

Awesome!
thanks so much Chad!

sleekbeads 2007-04-18 11:31am

Wow Paula, those florals ROCK!
Chad, yep, love everything but I'm a sucker for hearts.

Jo

isellrejer 2007-04-18 11:48am

Paula, those are beautiful.
Chad, very cool.

Venbead 2007-04-18 1:30pm

thank you jerri, jo, and nagi.
Chad I love the heart too

Wendyki 2007-04-18 3:50pm

Great Job Paula and Chad :) I have soo got to learn how to do implosions soon.

Over the Moon 2007-04-18 3:53pm

Love those implosions, Paula - 'specially the Havana Moon one - lovely shape!!

Great pendant, Chad - saw some in another thread too - boy when you produce, you go for it!! Hope the Show is a huge success...

LAG 2007-04-18 4:02pm

Paula, I have watched your pendants get better and better in the past year...

And hurray for the turtle... so pretty, Cosmos... does it have a loop?

Kim V 2007-04-18 4:50pm

Finally got some studio time so I have a few new things to share. One I've shared before, but I added a little something to it. It felt good to get that rectifier going again. :-)

It's not quite as bright, really it's not :-) I don't think my camera likes blues :-)

GA's Silver Sands with Paula's Hardcore Cammo frit

A dainty implosion done with Open Mind frit. Not quite sure how dainty came out of my torch...must have been the frit :D

I got to see some of Paula's glass in person at a show a couple of weeks ago....her colors are so bright!! These are fantastic!!
Chad, the heart is my favorite!!

Yeah. They have clear loops on the back. It runs from the shell to the back of the head. If I get a chance, I'll take a pic of the back. But you can kind of see how the front is sitting up off the table and sort of get the idea.

Laurie L 2007-04-18 5:59pm

Paula I love your florals they are so perfect.
Chad that heart is TDF - seriously great color.

kiko 2007-04-18 6:01pm

Kim, very, very nice.... Paula super flower implosions!

Wendyki 2007-04-18 8:25pm

Kim I love the blue and all the others too :)

Venbead 2007-04-18 9:10pm

thanks boro friends. kim wow those e formed beauties are spectacular! and the "dainty" implosion is so sweet!

suzanne 2007-04-18 10:31pm

beautiful!! Paula I love your cabage roses, they are awesome

Chad, lovely as always, that turtle is sweet.

Kim, that blue one!! I love electroforming on boro, one of these days I should dig into this a bit more:)

Hey kim what brand white did you do on the last one? The white looks so perfect without any boiling or anything?

Nice start to the 2nd half of April! :fireblob:

nagibeads 2007-04-19 3:13am

Kim- the electroformed pieces rock!! Love the blue patina especially!

Carrie--wow--gorgeous sets!! Yummy!!

isellrejer 2007-04-19 4:46am

Kim love them.
Carrie you so rock with colors, beautiful.

angie4680 2007-04-19 5:18am

Awesome pieces everybody!
Leanne the Roger Parramore (New Color Co) white works like butter. You will never use another white. I swear its awesome!

Kim V 2007-04-19 8:04am

Thanks for the kind words....they really make me feel good. I'm always so apprehensive about posting here, you all are soooo good at this! I'm not quite sure where I should be posting, here or in the newbie show and tell. I'm not a rank newbie, but I've only been playing with boro since September...and I'm a weekend torcher....till June!! :D
I'm pretty sure the white that I used was Roger's. It melts so nicely!!! I say I'm pretty sure because that one was the last one of the day and I actually don't remember what rod I picked up....you know how it is when you get going and all the rods end up in a pile on the bench :D

Bunyip 2007-04-19 8:25am

Beautiful work! I do have one complaint though:

Too much chit-chat not enough pictures! C'mon people let's see what you got! (he said while not posting any pictures)

Sarabella 2007-04-19 8:44am

Okay, here goes - first posting of picture in any gallery - well I did post it in the other gallery first - I got so excited that I finally figured it out.

Ha! Momka's new glass - so yummy. Also first piece with new Lynx and Regalia setup. Fun, fun, fun!

Sally

sandree 2007-04-19 9:07am

I love the floral pendants...the Havana Moon petals are lovely. Great color on your heart, Cosmo...purple luster is one of my favorites. The electroforming gives such a great contrast in textures with the smooth glass. Carrie - I love your pastels. Just had a request for some pastels and they are hard for me...very inconsistent. Any tips?

Here is a lentil with leaves that I saw in the new issue of the Flow...Japanese issue. Just two lengths of twistie laid beside each other and then raked a bit. I need to work on it more to figure out good colors but I love the technique.

Sandy

Wendyki 2007-04-19 9:17am

carrie I love those cubes
sally I have got to get some of that glass fantastic
sandy I love your lentils I love that shape were they pressed or free formed and what size press did you use if the were pressed?

great work everyone :)

sandree 2007-04-19 9:40am

The lentils are made with a press...the Cattwalk button press...size 1-1/4". I really like this particular press...

Sandy

Toni L. 2007-04-19 10:48am

Great 'plosions Paula - Cinnabar is a GREAT red for this type of work and I'm gonna have to try that havana moon....NICE!
Cosmo, great as usual, but I love that heart! The shape and transition of colors is HOT! :D
Kim that e forming is a very unique touch and looks fantastic, and I'm with Leanne about the white - it looks so perfect!!
Carrie girl those are ELECTRIC like always!! The 2nd one looks kinda like smoky clouds or something 8)
Sally - love the use of the momka cane, don't be shy! :D
Sandy I was checking out that article in the flow also - looks great!!

Ashmo 2007-04-19 12:04pm

BRB w/ my comments.

Three Muses Glass 2007-04-19 3:12pm

You all do such gorgeous work! I should probably post in the other thread, I'm still pretty much a newbie. Some days it's hard getting to the boro. Oh well. These are Triple Passion tweezer twists. I was just totally jazzed that they're all about the same size! Not easy for me with boro.

It looks like it could be either NS yellow, or extra light yellow.

HardwoodTrailGlass 2007-04-19 3:19pm

Thank you all for the kudos, much appreciated!

Sally, whoa, nice job on that piece.
Sandy, love the lentils, crisp and clean.
Ashlea, wispy and surreal, I like it.
Wendy, great colors in those, I am marble challenged. ;)

Rebecca, nice to see you working Boro...you were a big part of the Smiley thread a year ago and you've been missed.

HardwoodTrailGlass 2007-04-19 3:20pm

Chit chat, chit chat...

Three Muses Glass 2007-04-19 4:07pm

Awwww thanks Carrie! That's nice of you to say. I'm still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up. I'm only in my 40's after all...
(chit chat, chit chat:-P )

Kim V 2007-04-19 4:25pm

Guess this makes me the older sister, huh? :D
Sooo, did you pick up all those teeny balls?

Now, seriously, there's some unbelievable glass here today. Thanks to all who liked my pendants, thank you soo much. It's been a good day in the neighborhood today and your kind words were a big part of it!

Naughty CB!!!

I admit it, there's a bit of a double standard here. I've been working on something... with very limited success. I have some pieces done but no pics yet. It's such a simple idea, and until the other day I had NO idea why I was failing so horribly. I finally had some insight into the problem, but then some other stuff came up...

I promise I'll have some pics after this weekend :) Maybe even during this weekend...depending on whether I can find a computer...

VenusBeads 2007-04-20 7:07am

Wow, I'm so impressed will all of you guys!!! I still feel like a boro newbie when I compare my stuff to all the beauty above, but I'm getting there darn it.

(There's no way I'm putting any of my boro pictures up now!)

Cosmo 2007-04-20 11:03am

Not all of these were made in April, but a good many of them were.

Figured I'd post what I've been up to for the past couple of months...
