Pills? Pills in glass?

Hi all, I'm desperately seeking ideas for a little project. My 96 yr old Grandma died a couple of weeks ago. The family has requested some memorial ash pieces. One of my grand-nephews was close to Grandma, and one of his memories is of sitting with her organizing her meds and watching to make sure she took what she should. He has requested a pill! Or something evoking a pill? Now I don't want to just lop off a 3/4" piece of rod and round the ends and call it a pill. I'm usually pretty competent in coming up with ideas that satisfy a request, but this little thing has me stumped. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

So sorry for your loss.

You could make a small clear blown vessel and put miniature off-mandrel glass pills in it. Seal it or put a cork in the top.

Or core it after using some silicone sealer under the bead cap.

Thanks Rebecca - vessel - I have been making a variety of items including vessels for the ashes. Would you believe I didn't think of mini pills inside instead of ashes? I'm wondering, what do you think of making a slightly bigger "pill", and tucking it inside the hollow form as I'm forming it? With the intent of having it rattle around when done. I'm trying to imagine if it'll get itself stuck to the inside wall. Nothing like experimenting!

Experimenting is awesome. It sounds a bit tricky with the heat difference but I bet you can do it. Show us what you come up with!
