Heart wing techniques?

Do any of you make a heart with wings? I melt the heart or the wings, almost Everytime.

Hmm. You are probably working too hot because you are concerned about cracking while you're working.

Try this. Make a bead approximately the size of the heart part of your bead. Use a color you hate. Hold it outside the flame and time how long it takes to crack. Literally with a clock or your phone.

This will tell you how long you have to add wings, add a little heat to the body, and put it in the kiln.

Really. You will be astonished how long it takes for the bead to crack. Learn how slow you can go.
