Etsy Hiccups
 
I recently set up an esty shop. For some reason my customers are not able to post a review. Any idea why that might be happening? How can I fix it?

Is there a chance that not enough time has passed between the item shipping and them wanting to leave a review? Sometimes it ships quickly and the customer gets it right away, but the "window for review" hasn't yet opened. Although usually I at least see a message under my Purchases page that says "leave a review on..."

Another thing to consider is if it is a guest account. If a customer chose "guest checkout," they will never be able to leave a review.

I'll do some digging to see if it might be due to a new shop.

Yonil, That would be awesome, thanks! By the way, I didn’t ship through Etsy. Could that have caused this mess?

I think that doesn't matter, and they determine the review window by when you originally said shipping would be. Like the "ships in two weeks" or "ships in 1 business day", plus extra leeway for travel time.

Okay, I've given it a couple of looks, and I don't think anything is different/special for newly opened shops. People can have problems when 1) it is a digital file download purchase, 2) they checked out as guest and 3) when the review window just hasn't opened yet, since the date Etsy thinks they should have it by hasn't passed yet. (Apparently they do this so people don't angrily review items that haven't arrived yet.)
