Pretty Bead Reflections

To add shine and sparkle to a bead one can add Dichroic, Silver, goldstone, pixie dust, does anybody have any other ideas to make a bead shine out above all the rest?

I am doing research and looking for answers.

Maybe faceting them? I think I remember seeing historic beads from way back that had facets on them, I bet they'd catch light if shined up nice.

Lusters

Chemical Lusters that are painted then fired on in a kiln.
Such as "Mother of Pearl"

Why not just clear? Nothing shines like clear glass. Raised swirls, ripples, 'facets' made with a tool...

Thank you everyone for your suggestions.
