How to Pull Murrini Slices to a Point

I've added a new video tutorial on my blog showing how to pull sliced murrini to a point. Pointy murrini make your flowers look more realistic and 3D like. Japanese bead makers pull their flower murrini to points before cutting (ideal), but most non-Japanese murrini makers (and sellers) cut murrini into slices (not so ideal). This video will show you how to get the same effect if your murrini has been sliced.

Very nicely done Shawnette! Thank you so very much for sharing. I made some murrini today, but I haven't sliced all of it yet. Think I'll try this at my next torch session. :-)

If you haven't sliced it, don't! Pull the points from the cane. It's wayyy easier! I made this video mainly for people who bought murrini which has already been sliced.

Your video won't load :-( says Error 404 would love to see how you pull points especially since I bought several millefiori cans from Frantz. Hope it works soon. Thanks. Lydia

missgaba 2015-01-28 12:29pm

Thank you very much! It is an easy and convenient way, besides flowers beautifully reveal and not only roses.
