Studio 8 Even heat kiln

Beginner here \\:D/

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with a Studio 8 Even heat kiln?

I originally wanted to get a Glass Hive but I couldn't take the risk due to being in Canada. It could have been ceased at the border and because they aren't certified it could void my house insurance if any sort of accident happened.

What temperature does my kiln need to be at to anneal the beads? I'm sorry if that sounds silly, I am trying to learn as I know nothing about kilns and annealing.

I work with 104 coe Devardi glass and 104 coe Effetre.

I am just starting to make beads. It's so much fun! I just bought the Evenheat Kingpin 88. SO far I'm completely happy with it. Hope you resolve what's going on. Take care!

I have never used that kiln, but I can tell you my kiln cycle :)

I hold my beads at 515C until I finish work, then when I put my last bead of the day in I keep it at 515C for an extra hour, after that my kiln ramps down to 220C at I think it's around 150C an hour. Once it reaches 220C the kiln turns off and it takes a while for it to reach room temperature.

I'm sure everyone uses different cycles out there, this one has always worked for me.

All the best !
