Help with metal coring of beads

About 4 years ago I owned a Jim Moore bead coring "machine" and used round tubing I cut to size. Since that time, has there been anything invented that is easier to use with a better success rate? I'd love one that does it automatically ... am I dreaming????

I have the Jim Moore tool and my success rate is practically 100%. What is going wrong when you use it?

My thoughts always went to an arbor press but I have not done any coring at all so I only have my imagination to go by.

Is the Jim Moore a twist one or a lever one? I have the Nortel and love it. I recommended the lever type like mine to a friend and she got one not a Nortel but something else I think and she didn't like it. So I guess it is a matter of opinion. I line so many beads my hands would be shot if I had the twist type though. I think there is a learning curve with all of them anyways.

The Nortel is just like Jim Moores ... and you're right ... a lever one is certainly preferable. Guess I'll see if anyone on LE has one and wants to get rid of it. Thanks!!

Yeah, the Jim Moore is a lever type - basically a modified arbor press.
