DH got some more downspouts & another shelf for my BD & got them sliced up a bit ago.
One late night recently I finally did a quick shift around in the cabinet. Top two shelves moretti, next one of CiM & bottom Vetro. Attachment 165421 Decided to stop counting after it went way over 180  does include various tones of M420/corals though. But doesn't include silver glass, frits, or the quarters on side tables I'm working w/at the moment. Now I need to go back & organize, since a batch of my frequent users ended up on the bottom rows. dj |
Not being snotty but I would rather be making beads then Counting each individual rod as long as you have all the colors that you need
|
I think we were just counting colors, not rods. Neat question. I have no idea myself, but probably too many. I was just thinking that I made beads that were more colorful back when I started and just had the basic colors plus a few.

Not to be snotty, but ... any glass addict who has been messing about w/the stuff for years wouldn't have time to do much of anything else if we counted every single rod

I have (well nearly) only 104 COE but just looked and there are 400+ Colors - not counting the ones I bought last year and havent typed in the speadsheet yet....
And I only started 3 years ago.... |
I find that there are some colors that I LOVE, and quite a few that are a bit interchangeable. I don't know if that is the "proper" lampworker opinion. I will always try out something new. But I hang on to relatively few as essentials, and the rest I toss into my work here and there because I like how the colors work in that piece. But I could use something else too.
