And I do think that there are many more possibilities; You could easily use the stripes as a background for further decorations.

I hope some of you will try the technique and post pics.

Hope some of you will give the technique a try (or maybe more:p) and post pics.
It is not an easy technique, but I think it is worth a few tries. Please feel free to contact me, if you have any questions regarding the tut or tech.

sixbabygirls 2010-04-07 10:24pm

okay that is awesome thanks !

Very nice, Lone! I love your description, playfulness and (in my opinion) great pictures and angle shots! I'd love to try this! I have a question...do yo make marbles?

I'm wondering if after drawing down (to the center) one side, if you could punty up, and do the same on the other side - skipping the "tap down" and "flatten" stages. Then eventually round up, and carefully punty and shape, and make a marble? Hum....

:)

IŽve never tried doing marbles, but I guess it could be done. I donŽt have a marblemold, though, so I guess somebody else will have to do the experimenting:p I think the colours would have to be quite dense for it to be able to stretch to both ends, withuot thinning out.

Would love to see how that could turn out.

lonerp 2010-04-11 8:54am

Did anybody try this out? I would love some feedback:waving:

I wonŽt be here the next couple of days though; Caludia Pagel (glasting) is in Denmark and IŽll be taking her class:fnwl: I canŽt wait.

afina 2010-04-11 9:17am

I can't get the tute to open all the way, maybe its a problem on my end though? When I click on it, it trys to open, then a little box pops up saying there is a problem with Adobe and it needs to close.
That bums me out, I really wanted to see it :(

lonerp 2010-04-19 11:39pm

Maybe you need to update you adobe reader? The tutorial is a pdf file. I just tried to open it up, and it worked fine. Hope you can manage somehow. If not, send me a pm and IŽll send you the file.
