Medical oxygen

Hey i have some huge oxgygen tanks for aviation and was wondering what i have to do for a shop to fill them with industrial oxygen? If i change the valve and take off the aviation stencil will they fill it

Airgas will only fill their own tanks. (Name stamped)

Can’t speak for other companies.

you might be able to find a small independent welding supply shop that would but like Dix said, most won't.

Look in the yellow pages (or google) for 'aviation support services' near airports that handle small planes.

There is probably a shop there that has the bigger oxygen concentrators that refill tanks like that for the aircraft that use them.

ETA: Most welding gas shops only do tank swaps instead of filling personally owned tanks.

You can buy a tank just like the ones they use but most weld gas shops will only take that from you and give you one of theirs of the same size in a swap then you wind up owning that tank.

Oh , and tanks need to be inspected, pressure tested and certified as safe for transport on US highways every ten years I think.
