ten pounds of boro twistie looks like this...
well, this is actually 6.5 pounds... I'll snap a final shot in a bit...
This was a ton of work, but I'm getting the process down... hopefully I'll be ready to share soon... one more project in a long list... :D |
looks like tons of fun, I am so jealous. Enjoy my friend....
|
oooh......pretty
|
Done in a furnace!? Just curious. They look great. Love the colors.
Can't wait to see how you utilize them. |
OOHHHHHH Candy Canes
|
Nice!
|
O M G lucious!!!!
|
Nice, tight twisties Brent !
|
Drool...
|
OoooOOoooohh!
|
I can already tell those are going to strike really pretty -- look at that top one!
|
Thanks guys... as promised, here's a shot of all ten pounds...
|
They looked so much thicker in the first picture. With the money, now you can see their true thickness. Really beautiful. I can't wait to see the pendants you make with them.
|
Cant wait to see pictures
Like everyone says, can't wait to see what you do with them.
Or you could just pack them all up and send them to all of your lampworker friends.....:wink::wink::wink: I will try and get a pendant back from my friend and post a picture. I did a "non so tight" twisty. Suzanne |
Wow....just beautiful.

Wow!!

The depths of how much I hate you cannot be expressed in words!

Love you both... |
What are you going to make with all of these? DanG
|
(watching with interest)
Those really are beauties! I'd definately try the "lick technique" to claim one or two if I were closer. |
What makes you think i didn't already lick em? besides, spit burns off in the flame...
Dan, I make and teach a pendant I call Event Horizon... they require a thicker tight twistie... and honestly, the twistie is the hardest part... takes the longest to do as well... this should help me make more and hopefully when i get it dialed in, i can share some of my twisties with other people... I'm not there yet... have to test these first... :D |
They are so pretty!!! I want some. My twisties suck big time! Every so often, people will ask me to demo something and almost every time, the thing they want to see involves a twistie. It makes me nervous as hell, which means the twistie ends up even worse. LOL!
Seriously though, beautiful job Brent! |

We NEED a picture of Event Horizon..... please and thank you. Love, love, love the twisties. Sue |
Those are sexy
|
I think there are some of his event horizons on his website on THIS PAGE. They look much better in the photos, in person they are terrible!!! O.K. I admit it... I hate Brent because he is so freak'n talented.... but he's my friend.
|
I love the twisties and LOVE the pendants, and omg cannot wait to see where you go now Brent.
And yeah Otter, I thinks I hate him too, just a little bit :D |
Those are awesome. Very uniform.

My pendant with Twistie

In my previous response I said I would send a picture of the pendant I made with my twistie attempt. I can't imagine how great the finished pieces will look with your twisties.
OK here's my newbie attempt. Thanks Suzanne |
Nice job Suzanne! :D
I got to play with two pendants using these yesterday and they're very cool... hopefully I can do a few more this morning before we go camping... :D |
