Phantom GTT torch

Hi

Does anyone know if both the inner and outer flame on the Phantom GTT torch are surface mix? I know the inner one is. Thanks

I answered this in another place , but yes the inner and outer flames on the phantom are both surface mix.

Carlisle and Knight torches are the only ones that that I know for sure have one fire premix (center fire) and the other surface mix (outer fire). I don't know about the center fire of Nortel's SSQ.

All GTT torches, including the Phantom, are surface mix. With the Triple Mix design, they are able to mimick certain qualities of premix torches (like being able to concentrate a large amount of heat into a very tight needle flame) without the drawbacks (like flashbacks, scumming, unwanted reduction, harsh treatment of colors, blowing out unexpectedly, etc.).
