Wrong Glasses???

i bought from ebay what i believed were didymium safety glasses but when i received them they had blue lenses not rose, could this be correct???

Yes, the color changes in flourescent verses incandescent lighting between blue and rose. The only way to tell for sure is to test them.

If they are the right ones, it will cut the sodium flair, the yellow orange burst, when the flame and glass meet.

Mine are blue from Arrow Springs, maybe a purplish blue. I have seen the rose ones though.

Older glasses were Rose Didymium..... Believe that Didymium glass production is discontinued and the new glasses are ACE 202..... Suspect ACE 202 may be the glasses with the blue tint.... IF it blocks the the orange flare around the molten glass, they are probably ok...

Green?.... Those are probably just #3 or # 5 welding shades to cut down the UV and IR radiation... Probably does nothing for sodium (orange) flare surrounding the molten glass....

Probably... They may not have the lifespan of real glass, but it does state they do cut the sodium flare and has some UV and IR protection....
