propane Vs acetylene (hoses)

does anyone use an actual propane hose for the propane to their torch ?

Propane hoses are ORANGE and Acetylene hoses are RED ... every glass torch that I've seen ... anywhere ... always has a red hose connecting the propane.

Propane hose is considerably more expensive and less common that acetylene hose ... but (as far as I know) propane eats away at the lining of the acetylene hose and is unsafe.

Not all propane hoses are orange, some are black..... Any hose that is stamped "LPG APPROVED" (or similar text) is acceptable for Propane.

When it comes to welding twin hose, (red+green) only get type "T", it is the only hose type that is approved for Propane.... Type "R" twin hose is for Acetylene only....

Most people use welding twin hose (red+green) because most torches and regulators are setup to use the "B" size hose fittings found on the ends of welding hose... Not all propane hoses (single hoses) have the correct size fittings.
