Whimsical Florals and Fleece an Exploration in Melding Hard and Soft Mediums in Glass, Metal, and Wool with Gail Crosman Moore. Nov. 10th, 11th and 12th 2017

Gail is a master of cross arting - combining the visual and tactile art of felting with the beautiful shape and color of enameled metal with torch bead work. She will be be imparting her arcane secrets in this workshop to widen your artistic horizons.

On day one we will be torching soft glass finial beads emphasizing color, form, and structure. Terminal beads will be made on the end of the mandrel as well
as nichrome wire & large holed beads will be created to slip over felted cording
in the finished piece.

On day two we will be using Thompson Enamels to torch fire new & vintage metal findings, a fun and immediately satisfying activity.

On day three we will be creating a wearable piece of art embellishing felted forms
with torch bead and metal enameled components. Covered will be the 4 felting
techniques; sheet, shaping over an armature, ropes & needle felting. Embroidery
with sequins and seed beads will add surface texture & design to complete the piece.
