Annealing Schedule for knobs needed, please?
 

My kiln is a digital JennKen Beadmaking kiln with the flip up door on the side. I've never used it for fusing, but perhaps I will in the future sometime.

Right now I'm going to be making cabinet knobs with Zoozii's press and Moretti, CIM and Double Helix glass. I would LOVE for someone to help me out with an anealing schedule for this fat little knobs. I know it will be different than annealing the regular beads due to its thickness of glass. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've always used the same schedule as beads & focals. I've never had a problem. I make them first & they soak longer.

Ditto Vivian's routine. I make a half dozen knobs first, then make 25-30 beads over the next 3-4 hours, set the timer and go. The knobs have plenty of time to soak before being annealed.

When I work on something that is larger around than my thumb I just leave it an extra hour at my garaging temp before starting my normal annealing schedule witch already has a good 45 minutes delay programed.

My garaging temp is 960 while I am making things or 920 if I am playing with striking glass.

Can't speak to softglass but for Boro it is 30 minutes per 1/4" of thickness at annealing temperature.

I don't make anything huge out of soft or hard glass but I use the same methodology as above. I garage at my annealing point, make the big stuff first and then run my annealing program (which is set for 30 to 45 minutes).
