How thin can I go on a hollow boro bead?

Hi,
I want to make a very thin walled bead. I'm planning on using a mandrel to wrap the glass around it- like making a soft glass bead. Is there a lower limit to how thin the bead wall can be?
Thanks

The glass walls still needs to be at least double the thickness of the mandrel but it may be easier with boro tubing and no mandrel at all.
ETA: You can make the walls much thinner without the mandrel sucking out heat and you won't need separator.

Thanks!

Start with tubing and you won't need a mandrel at all.

You can also make a hollow bead on the end of a steel hollow mandrel. No need for bead release - just build a blob of glass on the end and blow. Pop a hole at the end and clean up, hold the bead with something (I use a pair of forceps) and then heat the steel mandrel at the base of the build and it will pull right off.

Wait.
Double the thickness of the mandrel?
Maybe that applies for a regular boro bead wrapped on a mandrel.

However, I think that is way too thick for a hollow, BLOWN boro bead.

OOps you're right Dix...I meant as thick as the mandrel
