Unlimited Oxygen - 102 days and counting
I ordered an M20 from Unlimited Oxygen on April 14th, (paid in full, btw). I still do not have a ship date for my unit and UO is not returning my calls.
In the April sale thread on the Sales Rack, when asked by another person, UO said that the turnaround was 30 days. 30 days after placing my order, I called for an update (as UO has encouraged on these forums) and was told that they were just starting the March orders, meaning he was more like 60 days behind. A few weeks later, I called again and was told that they were starting April orders but that he'd move my order up the queue since I had called. A few weeks after that, my husband called and when pressed for a ship date was given an indistinct "2 weeks." I was prepared (after reading all of the CSK forums) for a 60-90 day wait when I placed my order, but this is just getting ridiculous now. I really didn't want to take this public since UO just seems to be a dead horse, but now my calls aren't being returned. So, here I am. 102 days out with no ship date, no concentrator, no $425 and no return calls. Help me, Oh Great LE mods. You're my only hope. :) |
My husband called UO this morning and talked to Dave, who I believe is Jack's brother. I think Jack had some type of medical emergency? If so, I'm very sorry for him and I hope he has a speedy recovery.
Anyway, I feel sorry for Dave who honestly sounds like he's just running from one fire to the next. I just really want my concentrator. I hear it will be a really great unit and it has a lifetime warranty... But here's the thing about the lifetime warranty. It's only good for as long as the company is around and I have serious doubts that this company will be around for me to even receive the concentrator I purchased. |
Jack hasn't logged on to LE since 7/22. Hopefully he's ok.

Is that kind of sarcastic comment really necessary? Sounds like you're implying he deserves to be in the hospital, which is a really lousy thing to say about anyone. (Particularly when you have no idea what's going on, and how serious it may be).

not at all. i like Jack and his products, but it just seems he brings stress upon himself with the way he does business.
there's only a few people that i'd wish to see in the hosptial, and none of them are here or in this hobby/industry. |
I hope Jack is doing well and is in the hospital only to test his newest machine and not because he needs to be there....

I talked to Jack this afternoon and received my invoice for shipping. Hopefully that means they will be shipping in the near future. I'm so excited!

I don't necessarily agree with UO's business practices but this comment was a little on the classless side!

I talked to Jack yesterday and asked how he was and he said he was OK. Not my place to say what his emergency was, but he was kind, apologetic, and a gentleman. And this was despite having a pretty bad day.

I am having the same challenge - I ordered an M 20 12 weeks ago. No return calls and no return emails. What is going on? I am getting (ok, let's me honest) very frustrated. Anyone have any feedback??? Help!!!

Call, call, call... That's what I did. I called, my husband called... The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Seriously, I think the only reason I got my unit shipped was because my husband was a pain. They were probably so tired of dealing with him.

Connected my M20 this past week end. I LOVE IT. What a difference it makes from torching with my old concentrator. I know several people have had issues with UO but I am pro UO and feel the product is well worth waiting for.
