I think Frantz has the answer to my Vetrofond black withdrawal

I think this will do! This is what I have always used Vetrofond black for, because it's a dark blue based black. Not that dark violet base like Effetre, which is nice for violet/grape tones. I blend very small amounts with white to create a lovely blue-grey. I add in a little bit of lapis medium blue and get denim. ;)

I sure hope they will keep in making it, because as far as I know, this is the only black Effetre has ever made with the dark blue base.

So, Lisi, does this mean you don't want my Vetro black?

Oh, I wish I could buy some now, but goodness...don't hold on to it forever waiting for me! By the time I can afford more glass, Frantz will very likely be out of that color anyway. It's probably very limited. Kevan, it's you and two other people I know of who have a stash. I keep tabs on who does for good reason, so I know where to go to buy some when I'm out. I can make just 1/4lb last a loooong time. ;)

I don't know about everyone else, but I tend to view most things in the long term. (like WTH will I do without blue based black!) It's a good idea to be aware of the alternatives to the Vetrofond.
