Soffretti? Soffretto? Bueller?

Hi guys, I've been offered an odd lot of soffretti or whatever it's called from a retired lampworker, but I can't find any information on google about this glass! I'm assuming it's retired, but can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction for research? It sounds soooo familiar but I've been out of lampworking for over a decade and things are totally different now!

My thinking is that the word is a mash up of the words soft and Moretti but my extremely limited back ground in the information of lampworking means that thinking is worth even less than what you paid me for it.

The only thing I could come up with was the stuff to do sgraffito on glass. Sorry I couldn't help.

yea never heard of it, Phil had a good theory. Especially if it's a family member who is handling the selling.
Find out the COE, that's all you really need right now.

The gentleman has been out of it so long he doesn't remember anything about the glass really, not coe or msds, HOWEVER! How exciting would it be to have a stash of discontinued MORETTI on my hands??? Helloooooo 254!

I just heard about this recently, and got more information tonight.
Is it Vetreia-Soiva? 104 COE, made in Padova, Italy but I don't know if they are still making lampwork glass.

I’m guessing it’s frit.

Soffritto is chopped, sautéed aromatics.
