I think it was just cheap white vinegar, non-diluted, soak until you can't stand the smell anymore.:lol: Maybe somebody will chime in who was also reading that thread.

I'm pretty sure I read it on the forum here, but...

I'm pretty sure I read it on the forum here, but they were just soaking grungy clear in vinegar, preferably hot, to remove the scum from handling/manufacture/shipping. It worked better than rubbing...

Robin, re the scum, did we talk about the vinegar...

Robin, re the scum, did we talk about the vinegar soak for glass to remove oil/scum/etc? It seems to work a charm on clear glass, so might be worth the effort here.
