No trick really. It's usually because the encasing was uneven so I had to heat the snot out of it and let it droop while shaping and pull the extra glass down to the thinner parts. LOL

Carolyn, the only thing I can think of is, after application of any silver glass you're using, follow up with a Amber or Topaz transparent on any exposed areas of silver, then encase with clear.

Cherri, that's funny. I only use the Soft Clear from Lauscha and I don't have gold fuming but I do get the gold tones - that's why I think it's from the Ekho. :)

Sara, I use Effetre Black, DH over the silver and then encase with Lauscha Soft Clear. I've only used Zephyr a few times because I also had cracking issues with it so that's probably the problem.
