I feel your pain, Chimehk. I had a lot of problems until I watched a local lampworker who also uses a hothead - that made a huge difference. I turned down my torch!!! Now I can even use propane...

I'm glad it's not just me burning my glass w/ this stuff #-o I'm a newbie, but managed pretty well w/ Mapp. Then I tried propane (excited it's about half the cost of Mapp or Map/Pro)...
