you can use a HH with both. the Mapp burns slightly hotter and burns cleaner so good if you work with a lot of transparents, otherwise propane is just fine (and quite a bit cheaper)

weird... i use Blue Sludge all the time for small and large (huge!) beads and never have an issue with cracks - thermal or otherwise.

I do notice that this particular bead release seems to hold...
