Not only do I rotate both ways, I also hold the mandrel in either hand too. Just another advantage to being left-handed :-)

Seriously, though, at the beginning its key to find out what works for...

Hi, and welcome!

I'll echo everyone else in saying that taking a basic beadmaking class is probably your best initial money outlay. You'll have a chance to see a basic beadmaking setup, and you'll...

Yeah, the only successful way I've ever got the hoses off was to cut them. You do lose a little hose in the process, but its better than spending hours trying to get the clamps off by hand.

I'm an Adobe gal, so Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc..

IIRC you can get Photoshop Elements for less than $100. Its a toned-down Photoshop, but great for photo manipulation.

I have a Scorpion running on a 10ml oxygen for the outer and a 5ml one for the inner ring.

Yes, you can run them simultaneously!

I have a 5 and a 10 myself - I use the 5 for the inner ring and the 10 for the outer.

If you're willing to do it, there's no reason why you can't use the 90 scrap to make beads with. You can pull stringers with the 90 and for thicker 'rods' you can use the sheet glass cut into thin...
