After I smash a wine or beer bottle, I use my hemostats to hold the glass as I melt it on the mandrel. I enjoy using silver mesh and wire to adorn the beads.

Actually glass bottles made for wine, beer, etc is something like COE 82. I recall seeing this in EZ Fuse software I have.
I have torched blue, green, brown and clear together with no problems....

I use it on my metal bracelet molds for kiln...

I use it on my metal bracelet molds for kiln firing. Its good for a couple of firings.

Never tried it on mandrels. I tug too much on my glass, so I stick to Foster Fire.
