I took a lunch break and when I came I lit the torch the way I normally would - crack open propane then light it THEN open oxygen - and completely forgot that I had 15 psi (roughly) of oxygen coming...

well ... it's official ... my bobcat is dead (at least until I get it fixed). Unfortunately I MUST have a torch ASAP !!!

does anyone use an actual propane hose for the propane to their torch ?

Propane hoses are ORANGE and Acetylene hoses are RED ... every glass torch that I've seen ... anywhere ... always has a red...

my bobcat will give me about 10 hours on a "T" cylinder ... I think the "T" is also called a "300" ...

of course I am in BC ... so each T cylinder costs me $73 plus 2 ferry rides (another $60)...
