Cool cracking beads

I make the beads, put them in a warm crockpot with vermiculite, cool it in the crockpot then try and take it off the mandrel and then they break - not all the time but a lot - what am I doing wrong??...

My Clear keeps cracking! HELP!!

It seems like no matter what I do my clear beads keep cracking.

I make a bead, then I encase it with clear, cool it vermiculite and when I try to take it off the mandrel, it cracks in half....

can anyone tell me how/if you can blow glass using a hollow mandrel? Do u put bead release and then put a bulb of glass on the end and then blow?
