I think NG will be hot enough but I don't think you will be able to get any sizeable volume (size) to your flame on NG.

House hold pressures are pretty much limited to some 1 or 2 psi and bigger torches like more pressures. Getting larger volume of gas entails either an expensive compressor kind of thing or a bigger diameter pipe run to the house, also spendy.

That said, I can melt half inch boro rod on my Cricket on HHNG. But it does take a while.

The tanked oxygen is also going to make a difference in your flame heat because oxycons run at a purity of 94 to 96 % and tanked runs right at 98 to 99 % and I am told you can tell in the way the fame heats.
