I use Devardi clear for the initial bead wrap. Super stiff and works for me.
For the "outside", I'll choose from either DH, Lauscha or Effetre clears.
Which one?
Depends on the project and the other glass I'm using.
DH & Lauscha are buttery-dreamy-goodness and my go-to for intricate encasing projects. Melts & flows wonderfully.
Effetre is stiffer... but my go-to for "regular' work. However, even after pickling I still get scum trails that I don't when using the *expensive stuff*. Granted, the fatter the rod, the better.
