Default kiln strike loki lipstick

hi all, please give some suggestions for time and temp for

SERENDIPITY, LOL Its not loki lipstick!

. also does it have to be clear before going in the kiln or can it have some flame strike first. does flame strike first add to the effect or inhibit it. Ive had a few pieces run through different schedules so far not such great results. getting some striking to amber but not purple/pink. pendant back, bails, horns on pendants.

any suggestions appreciated. i do believe two of the pendants were not made to go really hot before going in kiln. at what point is that done? have some as facial detail/wrinkles, any extra heat over attachment heat will ruin detail.

no issues with straight AP but over white is reacting different.
have been able to get the raw rod to strike to purple/pink in the flame but not the made piece after its been used. im thinking its maybe the heat and cooling happening during the build thats affecting it?

first few pendants i tried. 1080, 1090, 1100 and 1125.
lower temp for longer seemed better, but also not sure if at some point it was the repeated firings that helped. also ran one to 1075 then down to 950 and back up.

also if you are striking above 1075 are you running a separate anneal schedule at 1050 or not? thick pendants/marbles, blown work with small openings.

thanks
ro
