Those older beads are wonderful! And I'm with Kristin and Phill, take it slow (infuriatingly slow, to be exact), concentrate on the simplest techniques, build up those muscles and movements. You will get there, and you'll get there quicker than you did the first time. Maybe you need to practice 'wax on, wax off'?
