Before you latch on to baseless blanket statements, check with the engineers at your company to get their take on whether or not the stuff's safe to put into the flame.

Back to your question, a lot of the "what do I need" eventually boils down to what you want to make. But the basics:

Propane/oxygen torch
Ventilation
Appropriate glasses (I say shade 3 or better, others will swear that didymium lenses are more than enough)
A safe work surface

Tweezers
Marver
Gravity
