Hi Rudy. I have pieces in two different galleries/studios. They are both responsible for paying me my cut if a piece is stolen or misplaced within the gallery. It's written in the agreement/contract that we both signed, with both of us having a copy.
As for inventory control, all pieces have my studio name, price and inventory number. When a piece is sold, it is checked off the inventory sheet as sold and the date. When they send me a check at the end of the month, it comes with a notation sheet with the inventory numbers and my percentage of sale price of each piece.
